FNW Attend — one-tap, geofenced check-in for field technicians.

Two attendance rules govern this flow:

  1. Geofence — your check-in must come from inside your assigned shift area. The server validates the GPS coordinate; an out-of-zone tap is rejected with a clear message.
  2. Tracking window — live GPS tracking runs only between check-in and check-out. Never before. Never after.
  1. Allow precise location

The check-in needs Precise location to pass the geofence — coarse location fails. If you skipped this on first launch, open Android Settings → Apps → FNW Flow → Permissions → Location and switch to Precise.

Also allow background location so tracking continues when the phone is locked between site visits.

  2. Find the check-in icon

The check-in icon sits in the top app bar — it's the arrow-into-door icon next to your profile. It always shows your current state:

    • Amber dot — not yet checked in.
    • Green dot — checked in.
  3. Tap once to check in

Tap the icon. The phone grabs a GPS fix; the app POSTs your location + accuracy to the attendance endpoint. A toast confirms the result.

If the geofence rejects you (rare, usually wrong assignment), the toast names the zone you tapped from vs. the zone expected — go to your admin and ask for a re-assignment.

  4. Check out at the end of the day

Tap the same icon at the end of your shift. The dot goes back to amber; live GPS tracking stops the same moment.

If you forget, the system has a slower backstop — the 5-minute schedule gate — but it's better for everyone if you tap out manually.
